This famous or should I say infamous tourist landmark is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is known for imitation branded clothes and accessories along with pirated DVDs and CDs. However, there are other goods in Petaling Street besides pirated products.
If you want to buy anything in Petaling Street, be prepared to bargain and haggle for the price as the initial price is usually marked up way above the original price.
You can find various eateries in Petaling Street which includes local dishes such as Hokkien mee, ikan bakar (barbecued fish), asam laksa and curry noodles. Initially the majority of traders in Petaling Streets were Chinese but nowadays you can find many Indian, Malay, and Bangladeshi traders too.
